Young Sunterra residents benefit from attending Katy ISD schools, and so can you! The Katy ISD Community Education Program is now enrolling adult students for the spring semester.
For more than 30 years, the program has offered general public classes covering a range of topics from the arts to computer literacy. Classes are held at campuses throughout the district. While they cannot be taken for credit, they provide opportunities to develop your interests and upgrade your skillset.
Among the spring course offerings are classes in mosaic art, line dancing, organic gardening, self-defense and conversational Spanish.
Health conscience individuals can practice yoga and move to the beat in a Zumba class. A mindfulness class for women will include journaling, meditation and yoga. Classes in debt management, savings basics and stock market fundamentals are available for the financially inclined.
Classes are limited so enroll now before they fill up. Students must be age 18 and up. Fees range from $25 to more than $150. Contact [email protected] or call (281) 396-6365 with any questions.
Remember — you are never too old to learn something new!
